Bob, sorry if I contributed anything to your misery. I think I've got it figured out tho. All those people, sitting in the beach bars, nursing their Belikins while staring out at the water are actually thinking "I just got here, it's not fair that I have to leave in a week or so."
Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

All of you are really helping me. You know the saying: "MISERY LOVES COMPANY"! The depression if lessening, knowing that so many of you feel the same way, even before you leave. Looks like the best cure is to start planning the next trip, so I can be depressed when I leave again, but you know: Depression is worth ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE!

What amazes me Bob, is that it took so long for the depression to come over you.

SS, I was down when I had to get on Tropic Air in SP, but I met a couple in Goldson airport that had been in one of the jungle preserves for 3 weeks and they come every year. We talked all the way to Phoenix. That helped, then sharing my trip with anyone who would listen to me carried me until last weekend!

This is exactly why we moved here.
On our first trip here for 3 weeks when it came time to go home I started getting sick with a sore throat and all I could think of was I do not want to leave. Luckily fate had us miss our connecting flight in Houston and they put us up for the night to help easy back into going back to Toronto in the winter.
For me that first trip was it hook line and sinker. I knew could not settle any longer for the odd vacation (we never got away enough) and I knew it was crucial to my health and well being to get back here full time.
It took us two years (not sure why - think we were waiting for all new our friends to turn up too but did not know it at the time)
We often joke we were on Belize time long before we arrived. It is for sure a state of mind.

I can usually come home and get busy with work keeping myself occupied until winter sets in again. However, I must confess that yesterday I was depressed while shoveling 10 inches of fresh heavy snow. As I wrote to a friend, if you hear about a Minnesota farmer going "postal", you might want to check on me. Global warming my a**!!!!

I really love the change of the seasons except for Jan.thru_March Been going to S.P. every yr. since 89, sure has changed alot since then.
