Have stayed there for the last three years.....returning next Jan...

Your basic decision is how close to town do you want to be and what you plan on doing while in SP. Rental bikes and golf cars are available in town for transportation for any period of time.

Have spent some time south of town and prefer north of the cut.

The construction noise is not bothersome. The radio the workers play, when Bob is otherwise occupied, is probably more troublesome.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some of the pro's and con's on purchasing at The Cloister's.
And why are there only first floor condo's avalible? Is is a saftey issue?
Does anyone have any opinion of the basic construction of the project?
Are the sea walls safe in a Huricane?
Thanks

Bob is constructing the project properly, good prices and ideal location

Whodatgirl,
I noticed in a previous post that the second and third floor units have vaulted ceilings, thus giving a more open and roomy living space. On the other hand, less open space is easier to keep cool during the hot months. The Cloisters is in a great location - IMHO

I am repeating the message I sent out yesterday incase anyone else can help steer me in the right direction. I don't want to make a mistake in buying the wrong condo:

Are you considering buying site unseen?

i was looking at them last year. we stayed there twice as renters. i believe the reason about the first floor thing is that all the others are already sold. it is all about the view, and the views are better from the higher floors. no, i didn't buy one.
