Who is Laura and do you think she would like the homeopathic remedy for Rabies (lyssinum hydrophobinum). I will be on the island on Tuesday and can bring. Great to have on hand. Works wonders. If you know her, ask her how she feels about "water"

Laura is Trish Meyercord's daughter.

She can most likely be contacted via the BC's bar crowd. And she is listed in the phone book.

My heart goes out to all the innocent victims. (animal & human)

I was introduced to Pancho during one of my visits. The unfortunate creature was caged at the time, He exhibited signs of both physical and emotional distress.

A wild animal, forced to live in captivity, is the equivalent of a human being forced to live out his life inside of a closet.

It sounds as if Poncho's tortured existence ended in a terrifying final ordeal for him.

Wild Animals do not belong in captivity.
Nor should they be objects of human amusement.

This is torture to animals, and often ends tragically for humans.
ie:
Steve Irwin
Roy Horn (of Siegfried and Roy)

It is a shame that innocent people were hurt in this case.

This certainly is not a problem specific to Belize.

My hope is that this situation will be used as an educational opportunity, so that a bit of good may come from this terrible situation.

Our best wishes to Laura for a speedy recovery.

Homeopathic remedy for rabies? And it works? Please tell us more about it.

I hope that someday we can put aside our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

Lesson to be learned here: Never give people who display animals (snakes, birds, monkeys, raccoons, crocodiles, etc) any money because then you become part of the problem and just as guilty of the ones abusing the animals.

pretty detailed to go into it here. Check out www.nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org for LOTS of info and contacts. There is also a homeopath who posts here under "Or" who somes to SP fairly frequently and works with one of the clinics on the island (which has a remedy "kit" on hand). Yes, homeopathy works and is pretty miraculous at times. I wont go into it more now - I have gotten too bashed for my info about it on this board over the years. No time for more crap. Do a search here and you will find lots of references to malaria, dengue remedies, etc. Email me directly for more info.

Our monkey "Ricky Lake" was a very friendly animal, but it had a bad habit of biting ones ankles. It was really difficult to break her away when it wanted to keep hold...with her long legs and arms...it was like fighting off an Octopus. With two severe attacks and probably a "bad" attitude...it is probably just as well that a third and possibly worse attack has been prevented. If there was only a Monkey Whisperer on the island.

No, go ahead, the information would be of great value to all, and a homeopathic remedy for a disease that is almost invariably fatal is a big deal, so let's hear it.

Very sadly, part of the monkey's diet was booze.
