Gay and David: Just now read the article on Jesse's Internet-Rag. Very sorry to hear of the crash...but, any plane crash is a good plane crash if you can walk away. So, I understand yah made a big splash!! Take care: Bill
I enjoyed meeting you and looked forward to seeing you more often . I hope you have a speedy recovery David.Prayers and good wishes on the way for you both.
Spoke with Gay and David early yesterday. David was funny as usual and in very good spirits. Gay seemed a bit shook up still, saying she was thrown around the plane pretty well while they were going down. She said it happened very fast and that she felt like the pilot did exceptionally well given what he had to work with! David has two broken bones in his neck at the top of his spine. Neither bone is broken on the side of the spinal cord and the doctors are really hoping to avoid surgery. All in all both seemed to be doing very well and it was really good to hear their voices!
I can never remember which is better . . . safe? . . . or sorry?
I know several people who've had that sort of injury, and in all cases they were VERY careful during the mending process but ultimately healed completely. Let's hope that applies to David.
