It isn't just Chris, I can't think of anyone of my Belizean friends who have said they support McCain. Many of them are praying (and I use their words) that Obama wins. It has nothing to do with race as most of them are San Pedrano or of Spanish decent.

Seeing as most Belizeans actually live in the US as opposed to Belize I don't see how Chris' post doesn't have any relevance or connection to Belizeans.

Seriously, every time he posts about Obama like that, I think, what is wrong in his life that he thinks will be rectified with Obama getting elected? He shouldn't get his hopes up like that. Whatever is wrong, in his life or the lives of Obama's supporters for them to believe his election will change anything, is not going to get better. The problems come from within, and no hero figure is going to change what's inside you. Too many unhappy, frustrated people are going to be disappointed, and then what will they do? Nothing is going to change with his election in any event. To think it will is to be supremely naive about government. That's why I'm down with it, it won't make any difference. Peace.

Those "grumpy old folks" that sit at BCs are veterans of foreign wars, U.S. tax payers(have paid more taxes than you'll ever make),and educated professionals, qualities you don't have Chris.
They have voted in more elections than you can count, and, if you actually knew any of them, you'd find out that several most likely voted democrate in past elections.
