Regardless of the rights and wrongs and the justifications for Israel's present actions, does anyone think it will resolve the issues and create peace? Or will it increase Muslim extremism against Israel and the USA?

Of course it will increase Muslim extremism but what is the alternative, capitulation?
If Mexico fired rockets into US border towns over the past recent years on a daily basis what would you expect the US response to be?

I would expect the US response to be exactly the same, which is the problem. At a personal level "revenge" can be very satisfying, but at country level action should be measured and designed to produce the desired effect. I'm not sure what the Israelis expect the outcome of their actions to be.

What...no UTube Ry?

Maybe Israel should send them $Billions to "fight" drug trafficking and ease up on border security to appease them?

Throw their own law enforcement officers in jail for doing their job ?

Offer free medical services to the Palestinians while charging their own citizens?

Allow Palestinian Uniformed forces on their land and keep it quiet so as not to stir up the voters?

They obviously are not following the US model too closely mad

I believe Israel's actions are an example of what the U.S. plans to do to Iran. This is a message from George W to the world. Sick.

Danny,

Perhaps you would care to share with us all what you feel would be the best way to handle a country that denies your right to exist?

Please do not suggest a group hug smile

I have no idea of the best way to handle the situation but I know what Israel is doing is not right, not acceptable.

Self-defense is not right?? Not acceptable?? And this year's winner of the Neville Chamberlain Peace At Any Price Prize is . . . .

Perhaps someone else to add to the list of those who can never seem to tell anyone what they would do that is "right" but have limitless opinions on what someone else is doing that is "wrong" mad

Israel is taking out the Hamas missile batteries they have been using to indiscriminately bomb Israel for weeks. At least Israel is targeting military sites and not hitting civilians like Hamas is doing. Hamas started it. Israel will finish it. Get used to it.

Besides it's the Egyptians who are really causing the damage, gunning down cowardly Hamas militants who are trying to flee into Egypt.

I'll take Israel and Egypt and give you the points, Danny.

I hope that someday we can put aside our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.
