I'm the same Jesse, you're just getting either used to me or tired of trying to argue with me.

Well now I'm confused. I don't understand why I was told the site plan was up to date. Thought something seemed strange. It still looks like a huge development. Have you contacted Kyle to ask him for info. I don't know who he is but he works for South Beach. He is the person that called me today to answer questions.I was considering checking out the project in June but not sure that it's a good idea. It just doesn't feel right.

You can't believe everything a South Beach sales rep is going to tell you. After all, they were/are selling the development before they even have approval.

they had approval looong ago, it just wasn't 'official'.
a developer/sales rep could look me in the eye and tell me he is lying and i wouldn't believe him!

Are you for real or putting us on? South Beach has been trashed to death here on this message board. In case you are serious may I suggest you do some research here on Reef Village. It is the same development company.
BTW - you can buy the same style and all at bargain prices right now - already finished - in South Beach Florida. LOL

Hi ScubaLady Not trying to put anyone on. Have just stared researching properties past few weeks.Put in a request for info & received a call yesterday. Didn't know that Reef Village was done by the same people. I was trying to keep an open mind and look at differant options. I know people were not happy about the development but I didn't really know the whole history of the situation. From reading the posts and with your recent comments It looks like South Beach is a place to stay clear of. We were originally looking at Sapphire Beach but as I said I am trying to keep my options open. This is a huge step for us and I am trying to get as much info as I can. It's nice to get a real perspective from people who actually live or own property in the area rather than info from a brochure or sales rep.

Connie, just go visit and make up your own mind.

Reef Village is a torn in Harriette's side so she is very bias. Personally I would not be interested in Reef Village but it's mostly sold out so alot of others must have liked it very much.

I wouldn't be interested in Sapphire either due it being too far north and too inconvenient to get to town. Some people prefer that islolation though. Since I own property down south I am bias also.

Many of the board posters are anti-development in general.

I suggest that you pick a bunch of properties to visit in June including properties not on AC. After visiting numberous properties in numberous locations including the mainland our descision to buy in our location was easy. I would have bought closer to town if my wallet would have allowed it. The closer to town you are the higher the price tag and there's a good reason for that in my opinion.

Closer to town is better, for us anyway.

Belize N Us do you have any reccommendations. Having never been there I don't know the area. I've been looking at realestate sites. We would like to find a place that is close to the water and not really difficult to get to from the international airport. Placencia has many nice properties also but it's a distance from the airport and prices I've seen seem very high. I was trying to research ahead of time so we have an idea of places to check out when we go. Money of course is a factor also. We've been planning to go for 3 years now and hopefully this year we will finally make it. Not really interested in buying anything in Florida. It's a nice place but has gotten oversaturated. AC looks like a nice, quiet peaceful location.

Hmmmm. Enquires about Sapphire Beach and South Beach. Of all the available properties you happen to ask about the two most recently controversial topical projects on this forum. Coincidental?
