I don't understand what this means? If their weekly, monthly they pay extra for the power they use with the air conditioner? Sorry, I have never heard of this.

I believe it is a time share thing. There is an annual maintenance fee and then a utility fee per week. Something like that.

RI Beth, is that a flat rate charged to all timeshare swaps or is it for the electricity they actually used? What is the cost per kilowatt-hour on the island?

Thank you for all the advice - it appears as though rates are coming down a bit- $500/night for a 2 bedroom beachfront at Banyan Bay appears rather steep - have been quoted $200/night from other nearby hotels - Thanks again
