To be fair some people can't eat seafood. Eat a lot of chicken at home. Try to cut down on the pork. And just plain like the people, places but not the food.

We had absolutly no problem though. Right up until we had to get on the plane. LOL

Every meal we had for all eight days was wonderful.

If you must bring in meats for whatever reason, make sure they are
Vacuum packed
Marked USDA

I often bring in 2 or 3 slabs of ribs for BBQ: they are a real treat for guys who live off sea food or chicken most of their lives, and the hardest thing is to convince them that they
a)don't have to wash them in Vinegar
b)don't need to drench them in pepper and curry powder

Good beef is both rare and expensive in San Pedro

....and illegal to bring into Belize without a permit, vacuum paked or not.

like i said, i see beef brought in without a permit a couple times a year. i'll ask how they do it next time i see them.
the best steak in belize is still the worst steak in colorado. IMHO
i save up all my beef cravings till i go visit my parents each year.

We have had a good steak at El Divino and also Blue Water.

Barn - perhaps Customs or BAHA don't know what they bring? Not sure, and you know how one rule works one day and another the next. All I do know is I went to the US with a group and brought back steak and ribs and I had to do some pretty fancy dancing to keep it. No permit no meat was the law as I was told.

Belizean Beef Filet (we buy from Lino's) done on the BBQ whole is as good a beef as I've had anywhere and does several meals.
