Time to think "outside the box". How about Rent-A-Dog for tourists who miss their pets while on vacation?

That is a great idea.

perfect way to tear at the hearts of the tourist when they have to turn thier backs on the animal, and just as upsetting for the animal when the love and care and companionship is ripped away, over and over.

NOT A GOOD IDEA!

They might want to take the dog home after they have had it for a few days.

Saga does have a US charity number so that you can get a charitable donation receipt.

i received a thank-you email after my donation stating that i sent the donation and how much i sent. i printed it and stuck it in my deductions file. i think it is close enough to a receipt. you can always make a copy of your CC bill showing the charge, and staple to the email as well.

I've made some inquiries and it appears unlikely that a SAGA charitable receipt could be used for a reduction of income taxes payable by a Canadian resident.
