Well actually from the west side of the island to San Pedro is inside the reef as is Caye Chapel. The blue hole is a much longer trip which is outside the reef. Depending on where you are on the west side you will need to have a shallow draft boat considering in some places there is not more than 6 inches of water.

Anytime you want to make longer trips such as the blue hole you should consider having two engines and going outside the reef is better suited for a deep V hull you are going to have a hard time finding a boat that will be able to handle both the inside and outside very well. In my opinion you are better off looking at two boats.

Boats are often given names that reflect the feminine gender. That is because it is hard to find one that will do everything you want it to do.

The biggest problem will be the draft on the back side of the island. You certainly cannot use anything with an Indoard or I/O drive. It must be an outboard motor. Also understand that boats with lots of upholstery tend to age very quickly here.

We had our boat built on the Island by Roberto Canul who sold his business to Capt Sharks.
Sharks does a good job building boats and can even customize if you need something special.
One of our good friends just purchased a new boat a couple of months ago and is quite happy with the workmanship of Capt Sharks.

Ours is a 25ft (50 BZ) wink Luna-25 model and has gone around the whole island (in very low water) several times, to Belize City several times and outside the reef Many times. I would have no problem taking it to the blue hole (on a nice day).

...and here I thought it was because boats are driven relentlessly and then cursed when they fail to perform to a standard that cannot possibly be met.
