I hail from Truro Nova Scotia, lived 8 years in T.O, a short time in Edmonton. Better weather here.

From Edmonton, Alberta. Retired 2 yrs.ago...(worked as a Commercial deep sea diver/Heliox-Saturation for 12 years in the North Sea/Indonesia) Lived last year in Santo Domingo-Dom. Republic.Speak spanish fluently. Made the move to AC in April-'09. Got my big boat....fishing all the time now.

Greetings fellow Canucks!

Several years ago, I contacted our Canadian "consular" here in Belize to suggest that they compile a list of Canadians living here in Belize, contact info, business names, etc..so we would know who is here and from where? No response but this idea is not dead!

From my username you can likely guess I'm an East Coast boy, from Prince Edward Island, born in Summerside, lived half my life in Charlottetown with the rest spread across Canada in all provinces except Nfld, Quebec and BC. I have been to all points in Canada including Yellowknife, and worked the rigs for a couple of years in Alta, Sask and what used to be NWT. Still have family in 3 provinces and I try to make it home every year.

I came here in June of 2001 to buy land, moved here in Sept 2001 and have never regretted the move. Sometimes it is hard to get established in a new country and Belize is not easy but it's my home now and will likely be for hopefully a long time to come!

I'm not on Ac but wanted to jump in here anyway. Interesting seeing where everyone hails from. I'm American but was born in Glace Bay on Cape Breton Island. My parents still live there part time.
