Over the last few months we have been getting golf carts all the way up to Tranquility Bay Resort. Tranquility Bay Resort is the resort the furthest north and the most beautiful spot on the island, and of course I'm not biased at all!

i am heading to Costa Maya in end of Feb 2010. Do you think the road is passable up to it??

In February the road should easily be passable all the way --- the two main problem areas are relatively close to town, but in dry season those problem areas should be mostly just bumpy and not impassable.
Me, I still prefer the boat rout - prettier and faster.

Much easier on the kidneys!

It should be noted that if you are renting a cart, there is usually a qualifier within the rental that says you are not to take the cart farther north than beyond "X".

I have a program that will show it any way you want it, even in feet.

What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to update the BTB listing of properties and get some accurate distances of new properties and private rentals. Once I have them I'll pass them on to Marty to update the resort distances page. The distances are shown from Central Park.

If you have the GPX files, I can drop them in the program I use and calculate from there.

My goal is to actually make a map, with pictures of each resort.
