I love this map.
but it doesn't have many recognizable modern references.
pescador is just above the 'c' in Caribbean Sea.

I too love this. Just printed it out. Where did you find it?

It's been on Marty's Ambergris Caye site for as long as I can remember, along with some other fab maps.

I put the names of the cuts and other points on land useing the traditional names of the areas but it comes out a TIff file and i can't figure out how to post that.

Could somebody mark where Ak Bol is on this map? Or explain which landmark it is? Or if it is walking distance (how long) to the bridge?

Looks like they've put up a really old pic of AC, at least 8 years old, so there are very few reference points. I've put Ak Bol in as close as I can figure. It's too bad, the map was excellent at one time until a bunch of crap was put on there and now almost everything has been deleted or is completely in the wrong location.

I have plans to ride a bike between SP and Rocky Point. I also plan to try to take a picture and a GPS lat / lon at every resort I pass.

If anyone has any Lat / lon's I am collecting all of them, including dive spots, cuts, etc.

Does your GPS show distances in 1/100th of a mile? I went right up the coast stopping at the end of every dock to waypoint only to find out that the GPS I was using only showed 10th's which wasn't very accurate.

My GPS typically is about 14 foot, always below 10 meters (33 feet)

I should have been more clear. When you show distance calculations between 2 points do they show up in increments of 1/100th of a mile? As an example when showing the distance between Central Park and Belizean Shores does it show up as 3.4 or 3.43 miles?
