Theater at Reef Village

Brits or any people who have been to the theater in England should understand why I posted this picture. It's to do with the machinery in the foreground. Seems we will have distinguished company.

What was white is now purple and actually looks like a Belize Color. All the others look like southern Florida. At the risk of being accused of picking on poor Mr. Pierce I might even add they look like South Beach colors.

And the building does rise up above the bridge like a flag.

Peter - I do appreciate the "Art Deco" facade of the building. A nice contrast in the caribbean.

I personally think Tim's "Hammock House" was A more appropriate view for the local landscape. I miss that place!

Oh, the good ole days with the Hammock House.... I remember plenty of fun trips up there, dancing on the hand ferry to the music and meeting old and new friends, listening to the jam sessions!

OK, now you guys really have me goin! I was broken hearted in 04 when i saw the Hideaway demolished on my return to SP. Between there and the old "Palapa Bar". I'm not sure which change disappointed me most! I know i have to expect "change" but things just seemed to be getting out of hand. I remember in 02 sitting at the "old" Palapa Bar and listening to Dennis and BS'n with Casey and a friend of mine on the Sunday afternoon before we had to leave for home and looking forward to the next trip and thinking things would never change. I guess it's called progress.
The ladies from Edna Texas at the Hideaway were always a welcomed sight...
I still love the place and have nothing but great memories!

I loved the steak dinners at the Hideaway! Cool old bar too! Progress and growth is a double edged sword.
