Just booked with Capt. Graniel. April 11th-full day reef & April 13th full day offshore. Anyone who would like to split the charter on either of those days is welcome. There are 2 of us and I believe he can take 4. Let me know on this post by April 8th. Thanks to all again...I can't wait to get there!! Will let you know how I did.

Go to the banana beach Hotel and ask for Helen the Massuage. Her son and his fisking guide partner are the best. The boat has rod holders which in Belize is a big plus.

I understand what you are referring too. This boat is about 22 ft and a standard fiberglass with a canopy. Yes I have been with some small guide boats without fishing rod holders. I like to take a boat alone and these two young guys I mentioned above are good at what they do. I landed my largest barracuda with these young men. I know many are better suited to the larger guide companies but I found many simply take tourist to snapper holes and load their fish box with snapper the captain can sell. I always either go alone or with one friend. I like these two guys as they are very varied and will take one where they think different fish dwell. I agree. If you want all that there is to offer you must pay full price.

Four of us went fishing with Eric and Clifford in March. The trip was set up by Sharon at Lime's. We had a great time and my husband caught a decent size barracuda. They made us a great lunch with all the fish we caught. When we return to Ambergris Caye I will definitly see if they are available to go with again.

Denton is the name of the Garifuna lad and I forget the name of his Spanish partner. I haven't fish with them for well over a yr. Denton's sister works for the Banana Bc. Hotel on the outskirts of San pedro. Also ask Gene Lopez at the Banana. He knows these guys. In fact Gene Lopez is knowledgable of everyone in Belize of any import. Gene is the best guide in the country also.

Just got back from AC. Here's how I did- Reef.. trolled outside the reef for Grouper, no luck there.. went inside the reef and caught a lot of fish..mostly snapper, took them to Carolines cafe, ate fish for days(very good) Offshore- did not hook up any billfish (saw sailfish chasing flying fish-no luck) Trolled outside reef, working 400' to 1000+' from San Pedro to Rocky Point. Saw birds on baitfish- hooked up and landed 6' black tiped reef shark at Rocky Pt. Also at Rocky Pt. saw tuna (longfin) working baitfish-downsized and caught them and bonita. Trolled back to S.P. no luck.. anyone who has done this for years knows "thats fishing" Had fun!! Capt. Graniel knows what he is doing and does it well!! He worked hard to put us on fish and I could tell that he knows those waters well. Thanks to all again, hope to be back soon-Happy Fisherman
