regarding SOCCER. I actually enjoy the game at the world cup level. Not sure I could watch all the club level matches though. I think maybe (trying to speak for Americans in General) the biggest problem I have with the sport is that players are always faking injuries in order to gain an advantage. It is the only sport that I am aware of that allows this to continue. Although it does take a tremendous amount of athletic ability It is spoiled in my opinion by seeing someone who with no contact whatsoever falls to the ground and rolls around like a baby in agony until he gets a free kick. If he does not he gets up quickly and like magic resumes play. Say what you will about Baseball where players are sometimes drilled with 100 MPH fast balls in the head and body and in an attempt to make a play a player will run into a wall and then get up and resume play. American football may not seem like an athletic event to some of you but the only way you will understand just how demanding it really is is to watch from the sidelines at field level, only then will you understand what it must feel like to get hit by someone who weights 250 lbs running at about 20 mph. The padding is there because otherwise people would die!
So if you want Americans to appreciate the game more STOP the CRYING! There is not crying in football or baseball!

Incidentally, Cholo's was a good destination for the England match last week. Hopefully a fun vibe there tomorrow too.
