Is it too late to bring in the under 21 team?

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors at the England camp As you say they are not bad players, but the pysocology is all wrong. Passion and pride is the major part of the English game and none of them are showing either. They clearly are not up for it.
If you can't get motivated for the World Cup then there is something clearly wrong

Peter, I saw this story and just thought it was a mis-judgement on the part of HMV local store management. I don't think it is racial, but it could stir up "feeling" between some Scottish and English folk. On that basis alone it was wrong.
personally I would have been cheering for Scotland had they qualified instead of England.
I was going to ask where I could buy a "Anybody but France" tee shirt, (you know why), but I don't think I will be needing that now LOL.

What an upside down World Cup. Even Ernie might wake up.

France in total disarray. England looking clueless and winless. Spain lost. Italy winless. Germany lost. Brazil squeak past North Korea. There are two more groups to complete their second games and more shocks possible.

The crazy thing is all these teams can still pull out a win in their final group game and qualify and one of them will probably go on and become World Champions.

I'm off to Cholo's for potentially the best game so far - Brazil v Ivory Coast. I smell a shock result.

All the USA needs on Wednesday is a little help from the "hand of Rob"

Watching the matches yesterday clearly brings to light the issues with soccer whereby the game can easily be tainted/influenced by an individual or a team. As I have always said it seems to me that the Italian team uses the dramatizing of injuries as a kind of weapon. The world cup has so far shown that the biggest problem with the game is the officials. The game is broken!
