Which airlines do we have to select from? I have 3 K miles on American to donate and a few more on Delta if that helps.

That would be great! I need to find out exact date for departure and Dans return. Sky miles are hard because you are left at the mercy of the openings the air lines want to give you. worth a try though at this point.

Air miles can be transferred fairly easily. I was just looking for frequent flyer tickets to Belize for this week from New York and they were available. Don't know availability going in the other direction.

So, If Canada Bill, got a free pass for Derrick, that means there is money that was originally for Derricks ticket available to help with Dans.
Also, Canada Bill, could get a reduced priced ticket with his connections. Atleast reduced priced ticket is helpful.
