It has been a Loooong time since the American electorate voted FOR someone..... I suggest that Reagans 2nd term was the last time that a majority of the country was even close to united and voted FOR a candidate
I would tend to disagree (no surprise there). Bush/Gore was stolen by the supreme court. Can you ever consider facts rather than continually spewing out years old talking points? In all of the many Florida recounts done after 2002, not once did Gore come out ahead.... but either way it was still a very divise election Also, by the way, the outing of Plame was by Armitage, which the special prosecutor knew long before Libby was questioned....how is this "Bush's Fault?" This last election was a repudiation of the direction Obama/Reid/Pelosi have been taking the country.... not an endorsement of the republicans, although the FACT that they did obstruct the democrat agenda has been rewarded... by the voters who did not like the democrat agenda.... that's how it works in the real world!

Funny mentioning I'm bringing up old points when your quote was of Reagan. And yes, Gore did win Florida, but that you won't hear from Hannity or Beck. And Plame was outed by Cheney, who gave the talking points to Libby to distribute. And this election was based on JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! If the economy was in decent shape, the outcome would have been different.

Do you ever for a moment stop to consider why so many people either have you set to "Ignore" or question your intellect?
I quote an historical event (the 1988 landslide!) to illustrate unity in the country, and you equate it to "Bush stole the election" talking points?
Please cite source material.... (not "because I feel he should have", but rather something verifiable?) that shows an independent recount where Gore came out ahead?
Plame was outed by Armitage, confirmed by Armitage, Novak and also by special prosecutor Fitzgerald, as inconvenient as that may be to your mantra!
YES at last we agree...the election was about jobs...and all the Obama administration has done to stifle the private sector, which create the vast majority of jobs, and have been concerned over the elimination of the Bush era tax cuts, the cost of Obamacare, card check looming on the horizon and the Cap and Tax fiasco that was next on the agenda.....
I stated that this last election was motivated by votes Against Obama, not For the Republicans…. but I guess I needed to say it again, because all you did was spin out of control and start squawking like a socialist parrot!

I agree with Pug. Most elections are for the lesser of two weevils. They vote someone out more than vote someone in. So often this is like women in control of the TV remote, change it to something else, not necessarily something better.

Pug is correct, your source seems to have it correct also. On June 11th the talk about Valerie Plame is between persons who I will assume to have clearance for this information because of their positions. Good detective work though, All of this has been pretty well reported and is only disputed by a few uninformed wackos. Even the liberal newspapers have reported it. This is also so of the Florida recount. The New York Times sent a team down to Florida after the election and did a complete recount of the whole state. They concluded that Bush won. Katherine Harris stepped in because the time limit that was set by Florida law was up and Gore's lawyers wanted to expand the procedure after he realized that he wouldn't win by what he originally asked for. Their method was to delay, delay, and delay the count. If some one would not have stepped in it could have gone on for months. The Supremes found that Harris was correct in calling the final vote. If they had not done this we (the USA) could have digressed into a Constitutional Crisis. The outing happened on June 13th according to this time line: "First known outing to reporters: Armitage tells Woodward. Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward interviews Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage at Armitage's office. Armitage tells Woodward that Wilson's wife works for the CIA on weapons of mass destruction as a WMD analyst (partial transcript; audio excerpt; Woodward testimony; NYT, WaPo)." http://www.dkosopedia.com/wiki/Plame_Leak_timeline
