I just did the road from the bridge, on my motorcycle, to journeys End and there is no longer a need to use the beach.

Who knows, or why suddenly , we're all speculating and rumoring.
Town board could do a lot for their negative image by being more transparent and announcing these things , instead we just find out about major projects like this when the bulldozers or dredges show up, a little PR and the town might not be so hostel towards them.
Big dump trucks are going up and down the road and crossing the bridge and a grader is working the road bed.

All of the presidents from Central America and the Mexican President will be here on the 12th or 14th (cant remember). Not going to say any more than that for security reasons, but they are all staying at 4-5 different resorts up north. I kind of assumed that everyone knew, but I guess it was publicized.

Isn't it funny how some people seem to know what's going on and the rest of us are in the dark? Not only dump trucks and graders but hugh roller/compactor. It just started up and left and my whole house rumbled and shook.

I have noticed hard core road works in town also and the road south has been graded.

I just found out a couple weeks ago from a friend and it was a sheer coincidence, but I have talked to a number of people around town who seem to know about it. They are only in town for a day or two, so I am surprised to hear that they are doing so much work just to impress these guys. Oh well....I guess it helps all of us.

Impress is not the main reason I'm sure, the road was undooable and now its possible to use, so necessity was a large % of the reason.
To bad we couldn't get some of them staying at Blue Reef and get the other half of the road fixed.
You still have to use the beach to pass between Portifino and Journeys End.
