obviously, there is a 2 page thread here on it.

my point was most people are making lame jokes about it. (no offense) im sure i could come up with some funny remarks about the creepy plane too, but im more curious about it than that. is all i meant.

Pretty sure it's a Brit military plane. I've seen them on the tarmac at Goldson stopped while the crew ran through the duty free shops in the terminal. They were outfitted in olive green coveralls. After the run-through, they fly off into the wild blue yonder.

I think you are exactly right. They used to come in bringing support equipment for BATSUB, now, however, they are probably leaving with that same equipment destined for more friendly environments.

It was spotted at south water caye doing the same thing a few days ago. My guess is either it's a training exercise or a square grouper spotting exercise

So maybe the BATSUB guys are having a last hurrah of low altitude fly-overs as they say goodbye to Belize?

I remember when the British forces would weekend in SP and then on Sunday mornings helicopters would hover til the hotels shook as a wake-up call for the guys who were to get out of bed and get on the plane to go back to base. They were a rowdy lot.
They also did not-infrequent very non-regulation super-low fly-by's when they had the harriers.

See, it's not so sinister after all. As I said, when I lived near Pax River NAS those guys make work as fun as possible. They used to chase my sheep with a low flying Stealth. I've always enjoyed "air shows" but if you aren't used to it, it's unnerving! Ask Datallmon, when we moored my sailboat at the end of the runway, and we were buzzed by Blue Angels, and the Stealth.

The airplane is a C-130 Hercules and the door on the side of the fuselage is used very rarely. Most likely the crew chief and/or loadmaster were simply looking or taking photos. This is one of the few airplanes to be in service for more than 50 years with the original customer - US Air Force. I have a lot of hours on these and this would seem to be the RAF version with the extended fuel tanks and no markings that I can discern.
