I noticed the same. The Name was over painted with "Pilgrim's Rum Bar".

This must be a great investment for Kathy Roman, was she able to sell her business after just 2 1/2 months?

OR SHE HAS SEEN THE LIGHT ,REAL QUICK AND BAILED AND NEVER LOOKED BACK .LOL.

Hey all this is kathy that was running lifes a beach bar, and thank you marty for all the nice things but............ it really was the worse experience of my life and I'm so very happy i'm away from there and I wish her the best of luck, when the rent is to high, have to pay for police officers and security for protection and scared to go to work,and people are scared to come there because of the location, well its not fun anymore. I poured my heart into that place and so wanted it to work. and also when you have to come there every morning to clean up pee and crap off the porch of your business, that to me is just disgusting. And then the people that did it sit out on the peer and laugh at you its very degrading. so that place is good riddens, sorry I'm just saying. now I have a great awesome job bartending, safe secure and I'm enjoying life now and having a blast at that. So please come see me at the new place I'm working at and yes it's charlie and jambos master (pedros Inn) but i miss everyone so come see me it really is a blast here. and to the rum bar wish you the best

So sorry, Kathy, but so glad you are now in a safe and legitimate place.
I worry so much about bartender gals leaving so late from work, and being vulnerable from the dangerous element.

Hi everyone, my name is Deona Pilgrim. I am a law abiding Belizean businesswoman and an active member of San Pedro Lions Club. I am a single parent of two teenagers and have been living and serving my community San Pedro for the last 22 years.

I am now on my fourth year of business as the owner of the Mojito Bar & Grill,which won first place in last year's Lobster Fest Competition.

Kindly be reminded, I am a resident of this island for 22 years, I am knowledgeable of who the riff raff crowds are and in no way will I be tolerating any illegal or criminal activities to prosper within the limitations of any business location I run. I cater to a different type of clientele. I also have a good working relationship with the San Pedro Police Department. It is my intent to create a safe and clean business environment for all to enjoy.

Best wishes but I do want to let you know i paid full time security from the time we opened till close and have a great relationship with the sgt and thank god he did come by that was the only time i felt safe. and paid the police all week to come to, yes it can be a great place but mind me a good part of the resorts tell guests to stay away from that corner,and when we first came here and stayed in a hotel they told us the same thing of where to go and not to go. and i've had the guests who I did get to come tell me so, hopefully you get cheaper rent then i did, and not once did I let riff raff in my bar just so i could keep it safe and it was not like it was before, pot smoking, incense burning and the hookers etc etc. nor did I want that reputation and could never get away from that (tainted way the bar use to be) thats how people remember it, i worked very hard and invested money to clean it up. I'm very thankful to a couple people who know who they are that saved my ass and got me out of there before i lost all my money. but hats off to you I truly wish you the best! glad its yours and not mine maybe because you are from here is why it will work just wasnt in the cards for me. but looking forward to you making it a great business and a great bar
