So Elsa wants to know what the "entire population of San Pedro" thinks about this... well, I haven't conversed with the entire population about it, but I have talked with taxi drivers, fisherman, store owners, etc who arguably represent a very diverse and very non-gringo demographic.

The feedback I'm getting is first and foremost that this whole thing is a complete joke, or at least a great subject to joke about. Boy you should hear some of the jokes being made about it by the locals, I was crying laughing in a taxi the other day!!!

The second thing I hear is a resigned inevitability that it is going to happen regardless of what anyone else things/says/does... The locals have seen SO many projects rubber stamped and pushed through w/ out due process before, why should this be any different.

Then there's the whole "$150,000 donated to build it" worry... $150K? That's according to Richard Headrick. What the locals think is that the town is getting $150K and is going to build say, a $75K clock, THAT'S what the LOCALS think. Good luck getting any transparency as to where the $'s for this goes.

Perhaps we should get back to the main point - the clock is a very bad idea.

1. Blocks traffic
2. Impairs sea-views
3. Costs money we need for other things
4. Impairs access to essential underground utilities

That is why it needs to be stopped.

RE: #3 above ...correct me if I'm wrong, but this donation from Headrick/Ramon's is for a targeted/specific purpose (the clock/display) ....it is not a donation being made to the town "to use at the town's discretion, and it just happens that the decision was to build a clock/display." Thus, the fact that the town has many more worthwhile projects that need funding is irregardless with respect to this project.

The situation is simple: Public space is for sale, at the right price, for private advertising purposes.

Am I right or am I wrong?

All of us should send a email to info@ramons.com and also post on their facebook site.

God will stop all the false prophets with their video signs and pockets of money. Let us all pray together to stop the devil's work in San Pedro.

We should immediately get help from a Exorcist against these evil forces inside of Elsa Paz and Richard Headrick.

Please, God bless all of us and protect us from the evil.

Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus
omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo draco maledicte et omnis legio diabolica adjuramus te. Cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque aeternae Perditionis venenum propinare.

Please -- tell me you are kidding! I's very hard to hear sarcasm from the printed word. Adults have to be careful when addressing children as they do not understand this kind of humor.

You were joking were you not?

i don't have a dog in this fight, but the comments of target ramons seem to make the most sense to me.
