Thanks everyone for all your replies to my pondering about where to stay. I just finalized our plans and we'll be staying at the Victoria-House. They had a discount for one free night and also booked our island flights from Belize Intl. We are so excited. Ambergise Caye sounds even more appealing after reading the message boards from so many nice locals... You have really outdone yourself with this message board, it's so informative and welcoming. Thanks again!!

You will love the Victoria House! We were there for a week and can't wait to get back! We were in a casita and loved having the breeze blow through. The pool is beautuful. We thought the food was good but they could have a little more variety on the menu, though. The staff and bartenders were great. "Stone" the bartender makes a great bloody Mary!
