We also have loads of white powdery sand on the Cayes. Seagrass is perhaps to their dislike.

My guess is that the PM knows more about this particular deal than any of us on the message board. A big hotel chain like that would naturally want an endorsement from GoB and who better to have an inside scoop on that than than somebody in GoB.
Could be that sometimes golf trumps beach. Not for me, but for enough folks to make the deal work.

And, just to show my comments are meant in good spirits, I will buy you dinner and drinks as soon as the Four Seasons Hotel opens on Caye Chapel. laugh

I'll start with a garden fresh ceasar salad made at the table, followed with the Lobster Thermador with the Black Angus Rib Eye, medium rare, and a nice bottle of Merlot.

Chocolate volcano cake for desert followed by a couple of shots of Amaretto.

WILL SOMEONE OPEN A FOUR SEASONS PLEASE!!!!!!!

What about a Wyndham resort, do they qualify? Well that was the bogus rumour floating around about 5 years ago about "Tricky Ricky" Pierce's development on Drowned Caye.

I guess they did thier homework and found out why they call it Drowned Caye.

I lived in Hawaii for 30 yrs, on the Big Island for 4 yrs and The Island of Hawaii is lacking in white sandy beaches, Kona has the best of the sandy beaches which is why it is more developed that Hilo, Pahoa, even Hawaiian Beaches doesnt have beaches...Kona does.

Capt Hollywood - Not the merlot! A good Cab Sav or Pinot Noir would be much better with the rib-eye and also more expensive!

Latest update - minor set back. Four Seasons tried to send an advanced team to research the project. Problem, the pilot flew all over the Caribbean looking for it. They forgot to tell him it was in Central America. grin

OH, and Capt. Hollywood, just in case they don't go ahead with the project, instead of dinner I will buy you one of those "Where The Hell Is Belize" tee shirts just to prove what a nice guy I am. wink
