Obviously the police in Belize are beyond substandard...as they are in all the central american nations......and that is, IMHO, one of the draws for guys like McAfee.......in the meantime there is a long time resident of SP who is dead. He was shot with a 9mm pistol, I believe McAfee owns two of those. He could easily go to the American Consulate for protection from the supposed fearful GSU. He could hire someone to turn his guns over to the police for inspection to clear his name. he could hire someone to keep his dogs from starving. the fact that he hasn't done any of that makes him even more suspicious.
Everyone who goes to SP know the police are corrupt.....but does anyone care about his dead neighbor or McAfee's suspicious behavior?

You're making some fateful assumptions....but I wouldn't expect any less from some one infatuated with a fictitious character.....probably have the action figure too

Yes, and yes. I agree with everything you wrote, clover. We might be in the minority. A lot of people want to turn this tragedy into a referendum on the police. While I agree that the PD needs a lot of improvement, the fact remains that a man was murdered, a family is in mourning, and a person of interest will not come forward to answer questions. With a lawyer and international media, he should go to the US Embassy and be questioned. To continue hiding simply makes him appear even guiltier and more paranoid, to my mind.

If his only excuse is he fears for his life in police custody that is a pretty weak excuse to justify his hiding out. I mean come on the whole western world is watching so unless he is on the run from some other players like the one's he orignally stated that maybe he was the target and it was mistaken identity then his behavior just points to suspicious to me.

Now that is all the help he will ever need!!!!!
