When I saw the video of the kids all I could think of was the Kris Kristofferon's song; "You Have to be Carefully Taught.

The video shows the kids talking but it was their parents words coming out of their mouths.

Does anyone know under what charges McAfee employees and friends are being detained? His body guard I think is being held for illegal gun(s) but how about Ediie Arcona and the cabdriver Ceaser? They appear to be caught up in his karmic wake and it's a tsuami

Eddie Ancona is in jail?

He was arrested and, according to McAfee's blog, is still in jail. McAfee has retained lawyers for the three but not himself last I checked. There have been many letters sent to the Board of Tourism from AROUND THE WORLD demanding the release of the three men. I don't think those numbers will decrease. There have even been letters sent to US Congressmen. The power of the internet is an amazing thing.

When someone is arrested, it is with a legal reason. Don't ask the message board why, but ask the Police. They know, the defendant's lawyers (paid by McAfee) know, and it's in the Belize news (read that). I only know from hearsay, and don't want to comment on that.

According to what I have read on his blog

Eddie was the license holder of one of the guns found on the property as was another guy and they were arrested for illegally borrowing the guns to McAfee.

The bodyguard and his wife were arrested for unlicensed firearms and ammunition his wife has been released but the bodyguard is in Hatteville.

Just curious, how to you borrow something to someone else?

In the states, there is an obscure but well used Federal law, something like "Knowingly in the presence of illegal objects".
A lot of new Latin country and Belize laws are US laws forced on them by the threat of withdrawal of foreign aid.
They started this over 40 years ago, when weed for example was legal pretty much anywhere south of the border.
