He's wanted for questioning, his girlfriend/companion is wanted for questioning at the very least, and even if there is no conspiracy theory or corruption, there's been a murder and in the process of supposedly trying to solve the murder, it seems more than understandable that this action has been taken. Quite frankly, I'm surprised it hasn't happened earlier . . . especially considering the taunting. You know, McAfee doing the "neh, neh, nenehna, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread man" or whatever. Have to admit his Blog is like a wierd novel or a car wreck, hard to look away.

Old farts? Spouses? Huh? Who are you and where are you from? And why do you care about any of this?

Well, Jesse, I've been looking for McAfee, watching for saggy pants, and mostly enjoyed the perfect weather. I'm not an old fart with an aging spouse, and neither are you, lol. I always care, Jesse, always have and probably always will.

One day whilst on the lookout for McAfee and saggy pants, I saw two racoons just off the shore, in some turtle grass, chewing up food in a styrofoam container. As mildly entertaining as that was, my mind momentarily drifted, wondering if there could be some sort of reward system to get people to properly dispose of the garbage. But back to the racoons. Keeping an eye out for McAfee and saggy pants, I noticed a man walking two very large dogs, and while he appeared to have a leash in his hand, the dogs weren't leashed. Suddenly, both dogs dashed noisily into the water and began to try and rip up the racoons. One got away, swam to the dock, ran down said dock, and up a side street back into "downtown" San Pedro. Meanwhile, the other racoon was putting up a valiant fight, as these two huge dogs tried to chew it to pieces, *completely* ignoring their owner, who was yelling out "Brutus!!" or "Ceasar!!" or some name(s) like that. My heart in my throat, the owner finally started to take his shoes off to wade in after his soon to be mad dogs lest he lose his voice screaming at them. Just at that very moment, the racoon made a break for it, by leaping onto one of the dogs' back and then swimming for the dock. Instead of following his partner that had deserted him in his time of need, he ran up a light pole and crouched atop it, shaking and screeching. The owner got control of his dogs and off they went. The racoon then ran up the dock, climbed the wall of the water taxi ticket office, into the thatched roof. It was there for a very long time, and since had to go back to watching for McAfee and saggy pants, I missed its departure. A few days later, enjoying my dinner with a friend at El Patio, the two racoons, sauntered in over the little bridge, as if they had reservations. Took a tour of the place, but neglected to pick out a table . . . as we all, staff and diners alike looked on in amusement. I was most pleased to see that apparently, the two had suffered no lasting ill-effect from their previous adventure.

I never did see any saggy pants, other than those worn by the guy sitting behind me on the way from Houston to Bze. He was the epitomy of what has been described. Shudder.

I may or may not have seen McAfee.

Trying to be on topic, this is a quote of what I stated on the Belize forum:

For me, I am not sure of his innocence or guilt.

I have been reading McAfee's side of the story on his Hinterland. Hummm?

If it was his death and not Mr. Faull's I wonder if Mr. Faull would refuse to talk with the authorities?

Where I come from, there is a very old saying, "If you lie down with dogs, you will get up with flees." McAfee, by his own admission has admitted to and taken seriously suspect characters into his employment.

McAfee may be 100% correct in all of this. His choices made by him alone and the people he thought his money would buy turned around and bit him like a mad, bad, dog. Be careful who you ask into your employment and home.

The US Embassy should be able to assist him but he refuses. Go back to the US, face the old music he ran from, and your property will sell here making him even more money after all of this.

He states because when he leaves, who will protect him?

He has made a laughing stock of the GSU, BDF and the Belize Police Department, not to mention the Belize Government and PM Dean Barrow.

I can not and will not say, McAfee is wrong, at the same time, I do not think he is right. There are too many gray areas.

Obstructing Justice is breaking the law, but it happens every day in many countries, not just Belize. Does not make it right or wrong until all the facts come out.

I am still suspicious of his own personal claim of taking bath-salts, and then him saying it was not him.

He has told too many conflicting stories.

Was Mr. Faull's murder a screwed up assassination that was meant for McAfee?

If these horrible GSU, BDF, and the Belize Police officers and their departments are so ignorant to find Mr. Faull's home and not Mr. McAfee's home, is to question.

What a nasty Fu**ing Mess this has become and is !!

I feel really bad for Mr Faull's family and close friends for all of the injustice that has been done to Mr. Faull and his family as well as others.

What a crying F**king Shame.

McAfee, to me, has Zero morals, values or real balls.

My heart even breaks for his sweet little Sam, who has been swept up into and caught in this mess.

While saying that, I must confess, I think he is a nasty old man running from father time chasing, manipulating and controlling a little girl old enough to be his granddaughter or even great granddaughter.

If he really loved her, he could and would take care of her without her having to be on the run from the authorities as well.

Least any of us forget, Mr. Faull!

April05 - I doubt anyone on here is sure of McAfee's innocence or guilt. Possibly a few on here are pissed at the attention McAfee is getting along with resentment that he is snubbing his nose at the authorities. I am curious if you watched the video link of the croc farm riot? That certainly illustrates a lack of civility by the village people and a lack of applied justice by the authorities...

BmmopnGringo is always a strong sound voice of reason and excellent on sharing the legal side of things with all of us.

The GSU have done some really suspect things No Doubt. There is a problem. Lack of proper training, demonstrated bad attitudes of I can do what ever I want and get away with it because I am the law. They have crossed far to many proper boundaries with more than questionable actions.
It made news last night about their actions and Human Rights Activist want to work with them to improve their horrible behavior.

dirtbanker, I am very aware of the Rose's horrific tale. It is unimaginable that no one has been brought in and charged and even more unimaginable that the crimes against them still go untouched by law enforcement. They have the pictures of the people who did this getting off the bus. The McAfee story is much different than that of the Rose's. I do know the Rose's support McAfee and believe his story completely.

Mr McAfee has his own problems with the GSU and law enforcement here in Belize. I will not say his story is untrue. I do not ever wish anyone getting unfairly or undeserving harm by anyone especially by law enforcement. Law enforcement should set and be the example for all. We all know this is not the case.

Does anyone know if McAfee has on his interviews or in his blog stated what he actually does or does not know about Mr. Faull on the night he was murdered. I know he said he did not kill Mr. Faull. I know he said he had his people out looking around for incoming trouble. You would think someone saw and knows something.

All of this with McAfee and Mr. Faull's murder is really, really strange! It stinks. There are rats in the wood pile.
