If you have a big enough bull-dozer no road is a dead end!

What about the Grand Belizean Estates. I could believe the East/West Road may be owned or deeded to SPTC, but what about the internal roads? Good question!

Pretty sure that if it's a road and if it doesn't have a parcel number - it's GoB land.

Not sure why they would be cutting down trees and grading what appears to be a private driveway entrance for a couple of homes (not a beach access type driveway). This drive is parallel to the intended roadway....

That was what I thought. Seems like there are so many better uses to which their time and resources could be put.

I would hope if they are going to all this trouble they would make this road as good as the ones in GBE so they could be traveled on all the time. And one lane wide enough to pass would be fine. The roads in GBE seem to be the best roads on the island I have traveled on.

Em: I hope one day you will photo document the new road improvements. Barry does take nice pictures!

Right now there's not a lot to see, Larry, except for dirt and a wider road. I assume you saw the blog post I did that first day the 'dozers went through.

Where is all the hardpan and gravel going to come from? Without that the road is going to be the consistensy of grits when the rains come.

So I am curious. Where do I find a list of abandoned properties on the Island that Mr. Guerrero spoke of. Do these properties belong to the SPTC. I might want to put a bid in for one of them.
