Does anyone know about how much a land survey would cost? Any recommendations for someone legit? Thanks.

Price depends on size of parcel and geographical conditions.
Sometimes to survey requires days of bush-cutting.
William Neal of Belmopan is a reliable professional surveyor.

Several guys will shoot a survey line for you but are not good at the paperwork.
It can take months.
Diane's advice gets a lot of respect on this board.

Be careful - there are some folks on this island purport to be surveyors but they are not licensed and some are completely incompetent.

Use the services of a chartered surveyor.

I've had 5 or 6 done here on the island and watched a lot more. watch for follow through and don't pay until its really registered and you have documentation.

Surveyors go where the work is - home location need not dictate your choice.
Mr. Gillett and Mr. Neal - both good choices.

Gillette is hard to book but always my personal first choice.

There are no chartered surveyors on the island. I don't have trouble booking Mr Neal or Mr Gillette, but it is the paperwork that frustrates people. The physical survey goes quickly but depending on the work the paper work can take time.
