Nostalgic and curious. A lot is left to ones own interpretation of this photo. You give what you can, location. Time, era, task, could be construed by viewer (1960s). Hair rollers, tight high dress, bucket to fetch water for a bath, shoes, houses; OMG. Compared to Latin American colonial cities, the Brits failed in the legacy of houses. some people still today live in houses like those shown in this photo.

alaflore, The B&W image is not mine. Marty can provide the background info if available.

Took a day trip aboard the Winnie back in the late '90s. Understand she is back in the Northeast US.... anyone know for sure ?

"Many young islanders may not be familiar with the Winnie Estelle but many long-time residents can certainly share their memories of the vessel. 90 years after her launching, the vessel is making her final voyage, with a stop on Ambergris Caye, before heading back home to the Maritime Museum at Chesapeake Bay in Crisfield, Maryland, USA. The vessel, which was built in 1920, has a long history and passed from one hand to another, eventually making its way to Belize in the 70′s where it was used to transport pine lumber and eventually used for tours off the island." http://www.sanpedrosun.com/communit...p-in-san-pedro-on-her-final-voyage-home/Here is the only other info I could find, Ernie http://www.oysterbuyboats.com/north_south.html
