AJ - you should tell people this is really larger than life size. The first time I saw a real one I was shocked at how tiny they are. I was used to the one on the wall at Tropic Air!

The Black Orchid is almost life size in the above image. I used a Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro lenses to capture the image (hand held) and the spider was a lucky extra to the composition. This lenses captures images at 1:1 scale on my image sensor. These orchids are about 0.5 to 1.5 inches diameter.
