We got stuck up there last week, exact same spot and the golf cart cut off for a while and had to dry off! Stuck in the jungle wink

RE: Waterman... well, it all depends on what message the GOB wants to give to any/all future investors in this little country, that is pretty much 100% dependent on foreign investment and tourism. I would argue that a message of "come invest, build, employ our citizens and then, simply because it's more convenient, we are going to appropriate your land" is NOT the message they want to give. The $ that would be required to properly and fairly acquire what land is needed would pale in comparison to the negative fallout doing anything but would create. So let's give them a chance to do this properly before we cry foul.

All of the lots going from Sea to Lagoon down South, have been waiting since 2000,for compensation. How much longer do you think we need to wait? lol

Water and sewage north of the bridge? Except for San Matteo is it really needed since everyone has always managed nicely with their own cisterns, wells and desalination plants for water. Septics (some very advanced and environmentally friendly) have served the north well. This will be a colossal waste of taxpayer money (BWS is nationalized) and just imagine the state of "road" while they're installing the pipes.

Also, does the north side of the island really want those smelly sewer vent pipes you see (and smell) south of town?

End of broken record (for now).

Just pave the damn road already.

Unless property owners were FORCED to tie into water/sewer, I can't imagine many (any?) properties owners up north would elect to... everyone has already made the (considerable) investment in septic systems, R/O systems, etc. Not to mention the fact that there's a SIGNIFICANT span/distance that many properties would have to cover to tie into services if they are running under the "road." You're talking 600, 700, 1000+ feet in some places. Why would a property owner want to incur that expense??? What's the upside??? It seems the town has a hard enough time maintaing these services IN town, let alone 5 miles north. This WILL BE a colossal waste of $$$, time and effort. Imagine if the entirety of the funds for this project were allocated to simply making a PROPER road??? We'd have the autobahn back there.

Just think of how many pump stations would have to be installed on this low island.
