If interested in the J.W. Fishers Pulse 8x underwater metal detector (and land use) call 667-7162. I have my original receipt - bought new for $2,020 us. Used about 4 times. Will sell for half price, obo.

I'm cleaning this spoon today. I found it in the Tres Cocos channel several years back.

I've googled the heck out of all this and still have no clue, other than the "Yealdham", an English merchant ship lost in 1800s is in that channel.

Elbert,

The L & W are Lee & Wigfull. The "S" is for Sheffield. The EP is electroplate, silver over copper. I can't find a reference for the shield and the A or a date reference for when these hallmarks were used. The partnership of L&W dissolved in 1870 with one of the partners continuing under a slightly different insigna. Doubt this could have been on the ship from 1800 as ages of partners logically would preclude this. I will let you know if I can identify any of the other marks.

Edited to add: Can you give me a blow up of the shield part, so I can see if I can identify the symbol in there. I have another site that I may be able to get closer on the date. The shield area may identify the duty mark and then the A style will give me the year.

Thanks
The info on the Yealdham reads 1800 apostrophe 's'. So it's very likely from that ship.[Linked Image]
