Believe me I appreciate a good joke, and you have posted many in the past that do make me laugh however jokes about race, religious choices and sexual orientation I don't find funny, I find them bigoted. And no, I wont join ISIS or the Baptists for that matter.

I wasn't going to respond to this again because, as Champion pointed out, this is not the Daily Crap site. That said anytime you make comments about a group of people in a derogatory way as was done in that "joke" it is offensive. To whom besides myself and apparently Katie Volk I don't know, but I am quite sure there are others. What's next jokes using the N word?

I thought they were the same thing. Both want to control women. Both are very intolerant. Both want other religions banned.

And I don't like them either. Just because you're laughing when you kick someone, doesn't make it funny.

If I remember correctly this joke originated when certain religious leaders decided to build a community center in the shadow of the World Trade Center. This project was soon dubbed the "Ground Zero mosque". Now, who was being more offensive, the religious leaders or the person who wrote the joke I'll leave to someone else.

I think far too few people have an idea about being 'offended'. First principle would be the impossible concept of "offence by proxy." You cannot be offended on behalf of another - no matter how PC you wish to appear.

Then minorities and oppressed should just suck it up until they can change laws? Your supposition is flawed at best.

And yes, you can be offended at the treatment of others even if you aren't part of those being oppressed.
