If you're not into country....you're outta luck. Four or five folks playing country, same faces same places, same songs. Really wish there was more local flavor. Sometimes a good mix at Legends on Tuesdays if they get some local talent and they get a little more bluesy, rocky, but generally its coutry country country.

I've found that some Classic Rock-n-Roll does just fine & mix in a little bit of "Coconut Leo" doin' some Marley (From The Son Of Bob), will bring the "House Down"....... but that's just my opinion!!!!!!

Legends does jam night every Tuesday its mostly classic rock. And at the end of every night there's reggae and punta. Last week there were local garifuna drummers it was pretty awesome. Check the Legends Burger House Facebook page for some video samples of the music. Anyone is welcome to come play or sing also!!
Oh and don't forget the Texas style smoked meat!

I've heard some pretty pleasant jazz jams at Estel's on a Sunday.

Country, country, country? I guess I don't really know what's happening in the live music scene on the island, I had no idea there was so much country. I am usually playing music. And NOT playing country. I am not sure where you are hearing all that country, but Derrick and Tull do not do country at Canucks on Sundays. Fido's on the weekends is not country. Will and Dale play a Spanish mix at Ramone's. Dennis and I are mostly classic rock, and rock and roll. We play easy listening at the resort during the dinner hour, but no country unless requested. Oh, and we add new songs every week, and have a pretty extensive song list. Keith is NOT a country singer. Man at Work plays soul, reggae and island music. There is also reggae and punta nights at Luna Loca and Canucks. The only one I can think of offhand is Brent Butcher. He sings all country. Legends bar, I know nothing about, maybe there are a bunch of cowboy singers I don't know about all up there ;-) And Colly is right, Estel's for Sunday brunch is definitely not country.
Hothead, Wednesday night karaoke starts at 7:30pm until midnight at the Roadkill bar. It is a pretty good party, if I do say so myself. There is music all over the island just about every night, you can find something you will enjoy, though you are coming here in the slowest part of the season and many businesses stop music in September and October.

Hothead, I'm not sure whether it is or not. I think a lot of it depends who is there and who is on the island and whether they feel like it or not, but I've seen some pretty seriously good musicians play there. The info from lil' red is metaphorically straight from the horses mouth and I laughed out loud when I read it because I'm a fan of Derrek and he's definitely not a country music musician. I'm sure he'd giggle at the suggestion though. Sherry and Dennis are great fun and Tull does a wide variety of rock and pop classics that I've heard - I'm sure he does much more that I've not. Will and Dale are really lovely guys and great at their style of Spanish music.

We are pretty lucky to have a wide variety of musicians here to choose from. There's also a big jazz event coming here in May I think, which I'm very excited about.

I've jammed with Derrick & Tull at Canuck's(They're Awesome).... Opened with "Rocky Mountain Way" by Joe Walsh...... They didn't do any country, but I'm sure they can!!!!
