Can anyone give me some idea how much it costs to build a pier on Ambergris Caye? I know there are many variables, but need some idea of how much a well-built pier, with boat dock and lift, water entry at the end, might cost? Trying to put together a construction budget estimate, and it's the only construction item I've not been able to find addressed on the web. Who is willing to build a pier In Ambergris Caye? Thank you.

Depending on where it is you will find it very difficult to get a permit...

I understand that the approximate cost to build a pier is $1000US per foot....most are in the 200-300 foot range depending on the area where you are building.

I think Alfaro Construction builds piers if you want to give them a call to confirm the cost.

Graniels builds them, also Burlioz Gurero.

I believe Norman Eiley builds them as well. (Or at least he has in the past.)

Graniels made my and happy with it.
Cost... Depends what kind of bolts, how many miles away, the wide, how long is the step down, the tip of pier, etc...

You mention a lift and by that I assume you mean a boat lift. If so I recall about 4 years ago a lift itself cost about US$6,000 plus getting it shipped here and then installed.

I'll second the Alfaro recommendation. Great people to work with and exceptional work(On time and on budget)...
