July General Meeting on 10th

Hello everyone!

Our July General Meeting of the Members is coming up this Wednesday, July 10th at 7:00 pm at Lonestar Grill and Cantina 2.75 miles south. Join us for neighborhood updates, our security report and our financial report.

Lonestar donates a portion of their evening's income to SACNW - so enjoy dinner with your friends and stay for the meeting!

Every year at this time, our coffers drop. Please click the link below and make a contribution to SACNW - we appreciate your support!

If you are on the island, donations of bug spray, batteries, water, garbage bags or cheques can be dropped off at the substation next to Miramar Villas.

Hope to see you Wednesday!

One of the neighbors asked for an updated list of items the patrol may need - so we are sharing with everyone! If you are planning a trip to San Pedro, consider packing a few of these items to donate to patrol. Of course, online donations are ALWAYS appreciated!

Batons (billy clubs)
Handcuffs
Utility Belts (to carry the above items)
First aid supplies
Bandages
Antiseptic lotions
Liquid bandage
Disposable Gloves
Garbage Bags
D and AA batteries
Bug Repellent
Log Books

Thanks everyone! Enjoy your summer!

Special for this meeting...Steve Kraut, owner and proprietor of Lonestar is offering a 10% discount on all food purchases to SACNW members who attend the meeting! Yay - thank you Steve! This is in addition to the portion of proceeds Lonestar donates for every meeting night.

Hello friends and neighbors!

It is time for our regular monthly meeting again. It is being held on October 9th, 7:00 pm at Someplace South Cafebar.

Click here to donate to your 100% donor funded patrol.

The agenda beginning at 7:00 pm

Welcome
Election of officers
Treasurers report
Security report
Old & new business
Open floor

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all of our members that this is the time of year when our coffers are strained. The month of September brings quite a few holidays - which means an increase in our payroll expenses. If you have not made a contribution, please visit our website and do so. And remember....we are the only contributors to SACNW. We do not receive government funding nor any charitable NGO funding. The neighborhood reaches into their own pockets to support this top quality service we receive from our dedicated patrol staff. The organization's overhead is ONLY payroll and the supplies for patrol operations.

See you Wednesday (or see you as an online donor - please click the link!)

Southern Ambergris Caye Neighbourhood Watch General Meeting November 13

It is that time again. Our general meeting will be held Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 pm Lone Star Grill & Cantina.

Click here to donate to your 100% donor funded patrol.

If you are still "up North" getting ready for your trip down, be sure to leave a little extra packing space. We will be sending out an email of patrol needs and wants very soon.

If you are in town, remember, patrol can always use bug spray, trash bags and water.

And as always we remind everyone....we operate on a very tight budget. 100% of our donations go towards payroll, golf cart and supplies. Zero, that is 0% goes to administrative costs. All administrative overhead is donated in the form of hard work and/or in kind contributions.

If you'd like to take a look at the monthly expenses going back to January 2016, take a look at our minutes found on our web page www.sacnw.org.

Dollar Drive

Now that tourist season is ramping up, we are attempting to boost our monthly income with dollar drives. Pairs of members station themselves at the beginning of the dirt road by Victoria House and ask passerby's to donate cash to support the SACNW. This requires 1-2 hours, or whatever time you can give, and has been very successful in the past. As well, it heightens awareness of our organization and the fact that it is only due to donations that we are able to have the Patrol keeping watch over our neighborhood.

Times are 11 am and 3 pm with scheduled dates over the next two weeks of Saturday 11/23, Tuesday 11/26, and Saturday 11/30.

Please pitch in on this volunteer effort to help make it a success.

You may contact Susan Watts at 634-5678 or by Facebook messenger.

Thank-you!

We hope you are enjoying yourselves either on the island or in your other home town. The February general meeting of the members will be held at Someplace South Cafebar this month. Come a little early and enjoy dinner before the meeting.

And, as we always say - our first responders are 100% donor funded. Our patrol is here for everything from theft to medical emergency to cart assist. They are a tremendous asset and all of the neighbors ban together to pay their salaries and purchase supplies. All administrative overhead is neighbor donated. :-)

Meeting: 12 February 2020
Time: 7:00 pm
Place: Someplace South Cafebar
