General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: A slightly moist northeasterly airflow prevails.

24-hour forecast: Sunny with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. A few showers will occur mainly over central and southern areas becoming isolated tonight except over the south where a few more can be expected.

The Caribbean Sea

A Gale Warning is in effect for the south-central Caribbean. Refer to the section above for details. An upper-level trough extends from an upper-level low near 21N62W across Puerto Rico and Hispaniola. A surface trough extends from 21N61W across the northern Leeward Islands to 14N63W. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms prevail across the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and adjacent waters of the northeast Caribbean.

Strong high pressure building across the western Atlantic through this weekend will maintain strong tradewinds across the S central Caribbean, pulsing to minimal gale force near the coast of Colombia each night through Tue night. Fresh to strong trades will expand to most of the basin today through early Mon and include the Windward Passage and waters in the lee of Cuba.

OP Marty	From Belmopan... There is a lot of heavy and stringy Caribbean clouds coming down from the NE over much of central and southern Belize this morning, causing many outbreaks of scattered rain showers. Northern Belize has mainly sunshine, but there are a couple of lines of cloud, possibly with some rain moving in right now. Looks like today is going to be very different in different parts of Belize, patches of heavy cloud and even rain in central ans south, on and off for much of the day. Some cloud and occasional rain in the north. OP Marty	Tomorrows WEATHER for - SUN 10 Feb 2019 The heavy cloud over Belize kept building, despite clearer weather out at sea, this is still the situation. Looks as if there was a hidden air coming up from the south that messed with the Caribbean clouds to make them to get thicker and produce more rain than was originally expected. There is still no clear indication of warm air from the south, so not clear what will happen tomorrow, my guess is that the NE Caribbean winds will continue and bring strings of cloud, with some heavier patches, but less than today. Looks as if there will significant cloud around and some rain, hopefully less and more isolated than today, and possibly a little sunshine in some parts.
