Hello,

My husband and I are thinking about buying a condo here in AC. We found one at a great price at Banana Beach Resort. We looked at the resort this afternoon and it needs a lot of work (pool, chairs, cleaning, paint, etc...). Is anyone familiar with the HOA there? We are staying at the Banyan Bay and love this location. This is why we are interested in Banana Beach. Anyone know the history of Banana Beach? It looks like it was nice at one time.

Thank you!

The Banana Beach Resort was indeed quite glorious in its day. The HOA is working on bringing the standards back up in 2020 - as you noted, there is much work to be done. If you need more info please feel free to send me a PM.

Susan... We enjoy the Banana Beach property..... We have staff events there and we can always count on them for Hurricane shelter.... One of my favorite things is they have an ever reliable back up generator for power outages.... Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner daily..... They are working to return to the premier days, therefore now would be the time to purchase.

iirc the HOA was $500 per month. we looked there 2 years ago before we bought at Caribe Island. $500 was just too much. they may have lowered the price so get a realtor and inquire. as for Banana Beach...we have stayed there several times, had relatives stay there...so we do love the place. its up to what deal you can make.

I used to live in a Banana beach area several years ago before I moved to our family Thai home property and I used to love it there. Very green and quiet place in my opinion. Did you make up your mind eventually?

Banana Beach will be having a complete overhaul and updated renovation - and be back to serving happy families by the end of this year. If you have specific questions about the property please send me a private message.

I've lived in this beachfront neighborhood, and I've loved everything. Banana Beach is well respected, and many people leave only good reviews about it.
