Work on New Bridge in San Pedro Almost Done

The new bridge that connects the north and south sides of San Pedro Town will soon be completed.  The bridge will replace the existing Barry Bowen Bridge whose wooden planks have been lifting at certain spots, posing a threat to vehicular traffic.  Today, San Pedro Mayor Gualberto Nunez told us that the town council has been working not only on this piece of infrastructure, but several others.

Gualberto Nunez, Mayor, San Pedro Town

"We have a lot of roads and streets that have been worked on in the different residential areas - areas that have been neglected for many many years and we have the first phase of the bridge that is about to be completed in about two weeks. And we are quickly going to jump into the second phase, which is the existing bridge, which we will be removing and we will be replacing it with a concrete bridge."
