Makes me weep to see that great photo of the Palapa bar and knowing it is 6 months before I will see it for real. Did you see the supersized barracuda that resides at the Palapa bar?

no, but the bartendress told us that 5 minutes before we arrived two dolphins were putting on a show for her. makes me wish we peddled a tad bit faster from Victoria House. Or ate just a little bit faster at Papi's. Seems to me that there is a great local vibe - and yet there is this precarious line that is being walked through the footsetps of american capitalism. May be good or bad, but that is the way of the world these days and impossible to avoid. My 2-c
