We had a topless morning at SunBreeze in January.

The word spread quickly, and everyone dropped by to see her girls.

The best part, were all the facial expressions of the onlookers.

I woke up my grandsons, so they would not miss the free show.

Well, Katie, I am Belizean of British and Spanish ancestory and it has a lot to do with religion and upbringing.
You will often see Belizean kids running around nude, swimming nude, and coed bathing but as we got older and er...more developed it ceased. Nudity is frowned on, just ask three good friends of mine about a late night escapade that landed them in jail for driving around Belize City in a mini moke nekked!!! What a scandal that was.

We waited and hoped our fellow guest of Sunbreeze a precocious 4 year old girl, would get out to the pool, for the viewing.

She was a supervisor/manager in training, and we knew she would walk over to the topless gal, and tell her what for, or ask questions, loudly.

But darn, the sweet delightful little girl slept in that morning.......we missed the fun, it would have been for all, except the topless one.

My perspective is that topless sunbathing is offensive to the Belizean culture. Ergo, have some respect for your hosts. If you just have to do it, at least try and get away from people and to an area with greater solitude.

If it isn't a holiday for you unless you are topless, pick another country.

My theory is, a nude, thong, or topless sunbather, is not fully satisfied unless there are people around to admire their bodies.

I could be wrong here, so isolated beach area, would not do it for them. IMHO

Look, just because you want to be able to run around with your clothes off where ever you want to do it, doesn't mean that it is accepted everywhere. You already know that.

Do you run around naked at work? No. In your neighborhood where you live? Not likely.

You don't need to be impressed with my passport stamps, I couldn't care less what you think of that. Look up a few posts in this thread and see what a native Belizean had to say about this subject in her own words.

How many Belizeans would it take saying such things to convince you?

You are the one that wants to bare it all so badly. Show us some proof that it is acceptable to the Belizean culture and I for one shall stand corrected.
