I read that some of you had your frig. stocked with beer before you got there. do they have bacardi silvers there? I don't drink beer. What about any good rum?

I myself was wondering about rum brands, specifically local brands... I am something of a rum aficionado(sp), and prefer Anjeo amber rums from the Dominican Republic, and Venezuelan brands (which you can't hardly find anymore due to some sweetheart deal to only export Anniversario).

So you experienced travelers that prefer rum, what local brands should I be asking for? If I find 1 or 2 I like, I'll be taking some home with me...

people, maybe on One Barrel island. My fav is Coconut Rum on ice.

Travelers Coconut rum is really good and its 80 proof

sounds good! cant wait! we went to the domincan republic last year and brought home some of that rum! and also some of the Mama Juana stuff! wonder if ambergris caye has anything like that!!

Sorry to disappoint you there is no way coconut rum is 80 proof-try 37 proof

I noticed that the island supermarket has recently picked up some of the super-premium rums, plus Havana Club, etc, and as stated Belize has a great selection of rums always available!
