Hey Mon...just got back. I went fishing in the mangrove bayous with some locals...no charge. We reeled in a bunch of baracuda...fun fun. Saw tarpon, snook, and snapper in only 3 ft. of water but couldn't get them to bite our sardines the local most popular bait.

You should really like it. Yes, the El Pescador is one of the oldest resorts there and has a history of fish city. It means "The Fisherman" in Spanish but it is not centrally located. They do have a water taxis though (actually too many taxis) that can take you to town during the day and a few running into the night. Rent a golf cart and you got your own way to town. If you choose to stay in town...lord get ready for a change if you have not been there in a while. Construction...cars, golf carts everywhere. The place used to be like Caye Caulker. You could walk down the street and not pass a cart, or even a person @ high noon. It is a bussling place now but still very Carib.
