Gay,
Maybe some of us BZ lovers should become pirates and sink them (but only after looting-- you know they have lots of great food!!).
After a while, lots of fish would come and start hanging out there, and we would have an all new place to dive.
Have a good weekend!

Progress frown

That's all right Idaho. I'm not ready to give up on SP, just curious.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

My walking partner here in the states retired to Nevis and lived there for six years.
She has many of the same complaints that are heard about Belize.
Belizeans and Nevisans have quite alot in common
at least in our discusssions.
And yes Four Seasons is the largest employeer on the Island and with a cutback in toursim Nevis is not having any type of ecomomic boom.

I've also heard (never been) that Utila, one of the Bay Islands off the Caribbean coast of Honduras, is a noteworthy destination for avoiding the hordes, although the diving is rated lower than reef diving long the CA coast.

I see this as an informational paradox.

Every style of coveyance and each tropical destination has a personality, all with distinctive traits that are prominent enough to attract like-minded travelers.

As a traveler these days, it's nearly impossible to arrive at your destination without any preconceived notions. With so much readily available information out there, it's really difficult, not to mention ignorant, to not discover something a bout the place that you're traveling to.

So this brings up a question: should you or shouldn't you canvass the info that's out there to find out everything you can about where you're going? It's great to have some ideas about where you're going, yet preconceived notions manage to start popping up. It's not always easy to rid your mind of these notions, and as a result, the trip could ends up not being quite so fulfilling.

Rumor has it that "The Love Boat Cruise Line" is presently drudging up the Snake River and will have extensive tours next year.
