If you are going to do a ruins tour, go with Tanisha Tours for the Lamanai tour. Your guide, David, is very knowledgable about the ecology, history and culture. Go to their link in this website under tours. We went on it the 2nd week in May, it was a long day, but very interesting and the ruins are amazing. Bring bugspray.

Please post a review of your trip when you return. I was at Costa Maya in April. During our visit they told us of many improvements that will happen at Costa Maya, beginning with the addition of new rooms. Construction was to begin in May. They are also talking about a new swimming pool and golf course. I am very curious if the construction and improvements are going on as scheduled.
