We just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary with dinner at Capricorn's. They arranged for the boat to pick us up at our pier (The Palms) and the boat ride was wonderful. Beware though - only your ride to the restaurant is free! It was $20 Belize ($10 US) per person to get back - something they don't tell you until you are dropped off for dinner. The atmosphere was great, as was the food. We encountered the same issue someone else mentioned- they wanted the plastic dropped down so it wouldn't mess up their hair! Other than that, all was wonderful.

Don't forget about Casa Picasso! Very romantic. From the little white lights on the outside of the building, the breezy curtains as you walk in. Low lights, music, candles, great use of color and light make it a perfect choice.
It is easy to get to and won't cost a small fortune for a wonderful meal, drinks and dessert.
I spoke to a couple that were having a "night before the wedding" dinner. They both commented on how romantic and sexy Casa Picasso is....

I checked out Casa Picasso's menu. It looked interesting, but maybe I missed something, or do they only serve appetizers???? and martinis of course......

What you are referring to are the "tapas" Basically the Spanish version of hors d'oeuvres.
It is great fun to make a meal of several tapas with bread and wine. That way you get several flavors and textures to try.
There is also a regular menu. My favorite is the lasagne and Caeser salad.

The fault is mine, I have not updated the website in a couple of years, and the menu has evolved to include pastas such as pesto, marinara, putanesca, handmade manicotti crepes stuffed with herbed cheese blends, lasagna, fresh and delicious salads, more than I can think of at the moment, but all in all, the most expensive item would be $26BZ for the (soccer field size) lasagna. On Fridays we do a Paella that is very popular among residents and visitors alike.

Unfortunately, Casa Picassa was the worst of all of the meals we had in A/C. Maybe we hit it on an off night (Wednesday), but the only good thing was the wine. Maybe the key is to have several martini's first! We had heard several great things about this restuarant, but walked away extremely disappointed, and no one seemed to care - as no one asked how the meal was - which most of both meals were left, and our tapas almost untouched - but no question as to "was everything okay". Hope this was just an isolated case.

Nancyo, the first thing I want to ask, is, "do you like this kind of food???" if you do, then I would like a more descriptive answer to what was wrong with the food, as I have heard nothing but great things about it.....as far as the service, I have no answers for you.......
