Try these guys. They send me package deals all the time. They have a really good deal going on now for airfare and rooms.

Thanks for all the good info.
As soon as we make some decisions about travel dates, I'll start making some calls.
In the mean time, I'll keep watching here and maybe even post a couple of questions.

Thanks,

Opening my big mouth, so far, best deal [emphasizing best] I've seen is offered as a dive package thru a dive site.

Barb, I'm gonna have to get with you about our next trip. It'll be after the holidays.

Beware of "buying blind" which is what you do when you buy a package from home. Quality is variable, and once you've paid don't expect to be able to get your money back.

I have to second what Pedro2 said.
Not long ago, we had a lady transfer to Caribe Island. She had been promised oceanfront, with meals, and I'm not sure what all. And, she had prepaid the entire amount.
She didn't get anything that was promised, although I suspect it was a bad travel rep, instead of the property.
Make sure you go with someone you have checked out. Just like you get references on doctors or housekeepers, look around, ask questions.
I too, agree that Barb is amazing. She knows Belize like FEW do. A few months back, the Tourism Board hosted about 100 travel agents in Belize, so there are some knowledgable agents out there.
Cheerz!

pedro2 & ibanole, understand about using someone I don't know. They had a good price, checked out good with the BBB but I'm just leary of it. Had them give a quote and got one directly from the hotel. Huge price difference. Put the last trip together myself and can do it again but would like to have more pocket money to endow the local economy. wink wink Just having a look around.

pedro2...if you don't mind. Just where is your shop located, name, etc. I would sure like to shake your hand next time we're on the island.

Better Business Bureau is more like a club than a good ref. Pay your money and they add you to their list--not, IMO, an organization in which to invest much faith.

There are several people/organizations mentioned here that have very good, established and verifiable (through customers) credentials.

That said, I always book my own travels. It's really simple in BZ.

Just adding my .04 (BZ), for what it's really worth. If it looks (sounds, smells, etc.) too good to be true...
